R-Ranch is the best. Our visits of at least 3 times per year, include paddle boating, horseback riding, hiking, archery, visiting the giant sequoias, feeding the deer (not the racoons, please)... it goes on. We made it out as a family for the snow. The Dunbars stayed in a large cabin with us. We ALL went sledding.
Christine attends Aveson Charter School in Altadena where she has made several really good friends. Though they live a distance away, we make the effort to drive. As you may guess, this in not your "traditional" school.
